Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI)
This method is used to sterilize the air which passes UV lamps. These UVGI air purification systems are freestanding units having shielded UV lamps. They make use of a fan to force the air to pass through the UV light. The most important part of this air purification system is the placement of UV lamps and also a superior quality filtration system.
These filter based purification systems are traps to all the airborne particles. Here, air is forced through the filter and all the particles are captured physically by the filter. This is the most ancient type of purification system.
